Princess Madeleine of Sweden shares new photo of son

Princess Madeleine of Sweden has shared a new photo of her son Prince Nicolas, sparking chatter among royal fans online at his uncanny resemblance to his father.

Madeleine, a mother-of-three, posted a photo of herself and Nicolas overnight as part of a series of snaps taken from a recent family outing in Miami, Florida.

In one of the photos, the ?eighth in line to the Swedish throne, posed for a casual photo with her young son while wearing sunglasses standing in front of a colourful mural.

"Sundays are for exploring the city you live in. Enjoyed walking around Wynwood with the kids today," the 41-year-old royal said in an Instagram post to her 339,000 followers.

The photo has garnered more than 17,000 likes and scores of comments, many focusing on the eight-year-old's likeness to his financier father, Christopher O'Neill.

"Prince Nicholas is so tall and looks a lot like his Father," one follower commented.

"Looks like his father," a second person wrote.

"Very a like his dad," a third person wrote.?

The? family are due to return to Sweden this year.

They previously lived in New York and London.??

The move home was originally planned for August 2023 but was delayed.

"Princess Madeleine and Mr. Christopher O'Neill and family will move home to Stockholm in August 2023," the Swedish palace said in a statement.

The palace's head of communications ?Margareta Thorgren said it was a decision Princess Madeleine and her husband "made together".

"We have known about it for a while, this is a decision that naturally takes time to make and now the family is looking forward to settling here in Sweden."

Princess Madeleine is the youngest child of Sweden's King Carl XVI Gustaf and his wife Queen Silvia.

The announcement of their move comes just weeks after King Carl had heart surgery.?
