Princess Madeleine shares photo of lookalike daughter for 10th birthday

Princess Madeleine of Sweden has shared a new photo of her daughter Princess Leonore for her 10th birthday, and the resemblance between the two is uncanny.

Princess Madeleine, 41, shared the photo of her daughter on Instagram on Tuesday.?

"Happy Birthday to our funny and adventurous girl! Never stop climbing all the trees that you love and dreaming about what fun things lay ahead! We love you!!" the royal wrote.

In the photo Princess Leonore is outdoors, standing in front of a tree wearing a white top with floral embroidery. She is smiling sweetly at the camera.

?Princess Madeleine is mum to three children with husband Christopher O'Neill ¨C Princess Leonore, 10, Prince Nicolas, eight, and Princess Adrienne, five.

The family lives in Miami in the US, but has plans to return to Sweden later this year.

They previously lived in New York and London.??

The move home was originally planned for August 2023 but was delayed.

In a statement, the palace said: "Princess Madeleine and Mr. Christopher O'Neill and family will move home to Stockholm in August 2023."

The palace's head of communications ?Margareta Thorgren said it was a decision Princess Madeleine and her husband "made together".

"They are looking forward to this move and that the children will be residents in Sweden with all that that entails," Thorgren said, reports Swedish magazine Svensk Dam.

"We have known about it for a while, this is a decision that naturally takes time to make and now the family is looking forward to settling here in Sweden."

Princess Madeleine is the youngest child of Sweden's King Carl XVI Gustaf and his wife Queen Silvia.

The announcement of their move comes just weeks after King Carl had heart surgery.?

Princess Madeleine and banker O'Neill met while the royal was living in New York. The couple were reportedly introduced by friends.

?They wed in 2013, returning to Sweden for the wedding before settling overseas.

Princess Leonore was born in New York ahead of the couple's move to London and then Stockholm where Prince Nicholas and Princess Adrienne were born.?
