T?he Princess of Wales stepped out solo for two engagements in the northern UK city of Leeds as she launched her new initiative
The early years project called, Shaping Up, saw Kate visit ?the iconic Kirkgate Market and the University of Leeds.
While taking a tour of the famous market, the 41-year-old was mobbed by fans. After politely ignoring a wolf-whistle from within the crowd, she stopped for a photo with a man whose hands were shaking with excitement.

"Can I get a selfie?" the man asked, to which the royal agreed.
As the man fumbled to touch the right button on his phone screen, he apologised, saying: "Sorry, I'm just really nervous".

The mum-of-three looked the man in the eye, with a smile and spoke in a soft tone, telling him there was nothing to apologise for.
"Please don't worry, it's OK. We all get nervous," the Princess of Wales said before posing for the photo.?
The princess donned a cream-coloured Victoria Beckham knit dress with a wide gold-buckled white ?belt, paired with dark brown suede Gianvito Rossi knee-high boots.
Kate added her go-to designer, Alexander McQueen, in the form of a long emerald coloured coat.
She carried a small designer Manu Atelier handbag in a similar green.
The royal, who wore her hair out in a wavy blow dried style, also wore small gold Shyla London hoops with minimal other jewellery to complete the look.
After years of ground work Kate appeared to be bursting with pride as her personal project got off the ground.
The princess was grinning from ear-to-ear as she met well-wishers in the market, before joining in a discussion on early childhood.
In her second engagement of the day, the princess met students who are undertaking the Bachelors in Childhood Studies program at the University of Leeds.
The course focuses on a broad approach to early childhood development?, which is the royal's key work focus.
While Kate was travelling solo for the big day, husband Prince William joined her for the pre-launch event on Monday night.
William, who is also the BAFTA President, showed his support for launch event at the British Academy of Film and Television Arts's London headquarters by wearing a red tie to complement his wife's striking scarlett ensemble.
The Princess of Wales looked stunning in an Alexander McQueen power suit, which was an example of the royal's soft diplomacy skills.
The colour of the eye-catching crepe ensemble wasn't just any hue, it was 'Welsh red?', a nod to her new Princess of Wales title.
The Duchess of Cambridge received her newest title last year, following Queen Elizabeth's death in September.
