Meghan Markle launches surprise new venture in 17-second video marking her Instagram return

Meghan Markle has launched a new lifestyle brand called American Riviera Orchard: Montecito in her return to Instagram.
The Duchess of Sussex quietly began her new venture with a website and corresponding Instagram account.
?The website is comprised of a landing page only with the brand's logo, a link to Instagram and an invitation to enter your email to join the waiting list.

Her Instagram account features the same logo along with a 50-second video set to the Nancy Wilson song 'I Wish You Love.'
The video begins with the duchess arranging white roses in a white vase.

Then the image flickers over the the royal in a wood kitchen with white, silver and glass features.
She is stirring something in a bowl and is wearing a white top with her hair pulled back.
Next, an image of the duchess at the end of a hallway wearing a stunning black gown.
The video ends with the brand's stylish logo.?
The bio for the Instagram page simply reads, "By Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex. Established 2024."

The account has quickly accrued more than 100,000 followers with that number climbing by the second.

America Riviera Orchard seems to be a nod to Santa Barbara where Harry and Meghan live with their children Prince Archie, 4, and Lilibet, 2.
Santa Barbara is famously known as the American Riviera owing to it's temperate climate and landscapes.
A trademark application viewed by PEOPLE signals the brand will sell tableware, drinkware including decanters, kitchen linens and edible treats such as jellies, jams, marmalade and spreads.

The trademark application is also seeking approval for cookbooks.
Those who sign up for the waitlist on the website are told they will be informed of "products, availability and updates."?
It had been speculated that the Duchess of Sussex would revive her defunct lifestyle blog The Tig.
It has been a busy year for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex who launched a new website Sussex.com which now overseas all their work including their previous venture Archewell.?
