T?his time last year, Camilla was known as the Duchess of Cornwall.
Now, the official website of the British royal family has been updated to make it official: ?she's Queen Camilla
The homepage and 'about' sections of the website now display Camilla as The Queen, rather than Queen Consort, as she had been known since Queen Elizabeth's death in September 2022.?

The news of the impending title change had been announced in a new royal warrant issued by Lambeth Palace this week.
The warrant states that as of coronation day, Her Majesty will go from 'Queen Consort Camilla' to simply 'Queen Camilla' in every prayer for the royal family in any Church of England service, with the monarch also the Supreme Governor of the Church.
The royal family prayer in the Church of England's Book of Common Prayer has now been updated to: "Almighty God, the fountain of all goodness, we humbly beseech thee to bless Queen Camilla, William Prince of Wales, the Princess of Wales, and all the Royal Family: Endue them with thy Holy Spirit, enrich them with thy heavenly grace; prosper them with all happiness; and bring them to thine everlasting kingdom, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen."

Similarly, Buckingham Palace used the title Queen Camilla for the first time on the coronation invites, signalling the change as of the big day.
Camilla became Queen Consort upon Queen Elizabeth's death last year.
The title for the King's long-time love, and a divorcee, has been one of contention since before the couple wed in 2005.

At that time, it was announced Camilla will be known as Princess Consort when the time comes.
Then during an interview with Brian Williams for US network NBC in 2010, Charles expressed his hope his wife would one day be known as Queen.
Camilla Tominey, associate editor of Telegraph UK, recalled that soon after that interview, things changed in the behind palace walls too.?

"Then we get to the point where we notice that Princess Consort has been quietly dropped from the website, officially," Tominey told journalists in London recently.
But it was Queen Elizabeth's statement in February last year that cemented the change.
"Let's make no bones about it was clearly planned out like that, well thought out in advance, that the public and the wider world would be more accepting of the notion of Queen Camilla if her predecessor paved the path for it to be that way," Tominey said.
"And now we get to the situation where again there's no secret being made of the idea they want to drop the Consort part and just call her Queen Camilla."
The coronation marks quite the completion of Camilla's image rehabilitation after being dubbed "Britain's most hated women" in the '80s and '90s after her affair with then-Prince Charles became public and led to his divorce from Princess Diana.
Tominey admits there are some people who will still be upset by that and others who believe the Queen Consort has well and truly earned her new title.
"?There are always going to be some people who do not accept her and cannot forget 'the war of the Waleses' and the couple's treatment of the late Diana, Princess of Wales," Tominey said.
"And I think they're entitled to their view as much as those who feel that actually having been married to the King since 2005, supported him and his royal endeavours, actually knuckled down and worked pretty hard on her own causes ... maybe it's a stretch to say she's reached national treasure status, but I think most people look at them and they're relatively happy."
