The touching detail hidden in this King Frederik proclamation photo

A unique piece of Danish royal jewellery has been displayed at the King of Tomorrow exhibition at the Amalienborg Museum.

King Frederik of Denmark wore a Shamballa bracelet on the day he ascended to the throne, a gift from his four children which doesn't feature royal jewels or a rich history.?

As he and his Australian wife, Queen Mary, posed in front of the public on their ascension to the throne, eagle-eye followers noticed the bracelet poking out of his sleeve.?

Without context of its origins, many believed it was the King embracing more modern trends, assuming that wearing it on his right hand, symbolised power and action.?

The King has since announced it was a "personal gift from four children to their father."

One of the more affordable pieces of the Shamballa collection, it costs roughly AU$4,400.

The simple bracelet is composed of matte black ceramic beads, diamonds and two 18k yellow gold beads.?

The sign next to the bracelet's display at the museum reads: "Full of hopes and love. The bracelet is worn by Frederik 10th for the proclamation on the balcony of Christiansborg Castle. Below on the Palace square are the cheering crowds. By his side the base itself: Queen Mary and their four children."

The owners of Shamballa Jewels, Mikkel and Mads Kornerup have confirmed that the bracelet is from their collection, though they wouldn't tell the Danish tabloid?BT?if it was paid for or gifted.

The current exhibition at the royal palace marks "the historical succession of the Danish throne that took place on 14 January. Through photographs, objects, video clips, paintings and sound, the exhibition paints a portrait of the new King of Denmark."
