Anyone who's seen Bec Judd's home on Instagram knows it's absolutely stunning ¨C but even she hasn't been able to escape the damage kids can do.
Her eight-year-old twin boys, ?Tom and Darcy, have pretty much trashed her dining table and permanent markers are the weapon of choice.
"?I desperately need a new dining table but until my twins stop doing shit like this with permanent markers, how can I?" Bec wrote alongside a clip of her hand running over all of the stains on the table.
"We hide the markers, ?iPads, nintendos, remotes etc but they always find them. Strange as they can't find drink bottles, lunch boxes, school blazers, ties etc." ?
Here's more proof that permanent markers are a nightmare if they're left in a place where little hands can grab them.
One parent regrettably made this mistake and walked back into a room to find their child had used multiple markers to draw all over their crisp white wall. ?
Using blue, red and black markers, the child seemed to attack the blank canvas with the tools to create quite a piece of art. ?

"Best way to get rid of my child's wall art project?," the parent sarcastically captioned the photo, posting it to Reddit calling on advice on how to fix the blunder.
And unfortunately the mess was so extensive ?that users could only recommend they repaint the wall completely.
Though some were left pretty impressed with the child's talent.
"Just put a large frame around it. The energy and attention to detail is amazing."
Parents would know there is a long list of items you would never dare to leave around a kid ¨C and one of those is most certainly designer handbags.
A mum got the shock of her life when she found one of her beloved designer Ralph Lauren purses had been given a makeover by a mischievous child.
"?Kid drew all over my mum's Ralph Lauren purse," a user by the name of Rico shared on Reddit, showcasing the doodle the child decided to draw on the bag's front face.

The leather designer purse seemed to be of a simple pink design before the kid decided to change it up using a black marker.
They drew a set of eyes and a mouth around the magnet button to turn it into what seems like a face.
Considering Ralph Lauren purses can sell for ?$400 brand new, this was one costly mess the child left behind.
Though some Reddit ?users were pretty impressed with the transformation.
"Looks like a fun little face now!" one commented.
I?n what can only be described as a nightmarish scenario, one dad entered his living room, only to make an alarming discovery.
The dad filmed the moment he found his ottoman, leather lounges, chairs and one very guilty toddler smothered in black paint, not long after he had fallen suspiciously quiet.
"If your kids are quiet, check on them," he captioned the terrifying clip
The messy child was standing at the kitchen sink, playing innocently with the running water.
People had a field day in the comments section.
"Oh my god," declared one.?
"This is a toddler's five-second job."
"All these people that say he left his kid alone for days on end clearly don't have children. That level of mess can be achieved in 60 seconds flat," commented another empathetic parent.
"My kids did this. I did not react nearly so well," another parent said, referring to the dad's calm stature throughout the short clip.?
"Birth control," declared another.?
Peep Show star Isy Suttie was horrified to find a toy graveyard under her lounges after a recent home clear out.
Posting to Twitter, Suttie wrote "If anyone wants to feel better about your life, this is what was under our sofas when we moved them into the new house."
Twitter users began zooming in on the picture at the weird and wonderful treasures lurking beneath the couch.
Zooming in on a copy of the movie Police Squad, one user wrote, "bloody hell, how long has it been since you checked under the sofa? 1995?"
"If you don't have this train track under your furniture, are you even a parent?????" another user joked zooming in on the wooden train track.
One mum has had to face the consequences of buying a light-coloured couch after her furniture fell victim to her messy toddler.
A video uploaded to TikTok shows the little girl's shocking trail of destruction. It starts with a ransacked fridge with the door still left open and its contents on the floor. The trail of crumbs lead to the brand new sofa which is smothered in what looks like chocolate cake.
Finally, we spot the culprit, covered head-to-toe in stains and lying sound asleep on the couch.
Many commenters judged the mum for leaving her baby unattended for so long.
But others defended the mum.
"Any kid could do this and be napping in the time it takes to go a No 2...trust me toddlers are quicker than an Aldi cashier," wrote one mum.
Toddlers can't help grabbing at everything they see. This hilarious moment one mum shared on Tiktok is proof of that.
When the mum went to get her two young daughters out of the backseat she was confronted by what looked like a crime scene at first glance.
She tried to keep her mince safe by putting the shopping in the middle seat, but she didn't count on her grabby daughter from using it as play dough and scattering the raw meat all over the back seat.
"Do not place groceries in the middle seat. It is not safer than the floorboard. Toddlers can reach anything," wrote the bemused mother of three.
Ah Sudocrem - the cure of so many baby and toddler problems, but the creator of so much heartbreaking mess.
Any parent knows one of the biggest mistakes you can make as a mum or dad is to let a full tub of the nappy rash cream fall into the wrong, and unsupervised, hands.
It's lesson this dad learned when he walked into the loungeroom to discover his son's artistic Sudocrem creation - all over the television screen.
Fortunately he saw the funny side of the situation. "Son up to Son down - got to love him," the dad wrote when sharing the pic on Facebook.
The dad said he was pleased the photo was giving some people a laugh. "We all need that," he said.
"You'll laugh about it in 20 years," one person assured him.
We can't help but wonder if the little boy soon realised the error of his ways - when the time came to watch Bluey or the Wiggles later that day.
Kids love beanbags - they are comfortable, cozy and easy to move to around. They also can be used to create your very own bedroom snowfield - just ask this mum.
Natalie Standen took to Facebook to show exactly what happened when her children somehow managed to open three double-zipped beanbags.
"Who's clever idea was it to make beanbags with zips? Send help," the UK mum wrote when posting the photos.
"Party time!" was obviously the first thing the kids thought as they enjoyed their new winter wonderland.

At least they helped clean-up.
But it was mum and dad who managed to finish the clean up - three hours later.
The parents will probably keep finding small white balls around their home until the kids move out - but they should take heart.
Many who commented on Facebook said they remember doing something similar when they were young, and it was their favourite childhood memory.
"I remember doing this as a kid. One of my happiest childhood memories. My Mum walked in and instead of getting us in trouble, just laughed. Your kids will remember this as an amazing day," one person wrote.
Another person suggested taking advantage of the messy situation. "Great pictures, would make a lovely Christmas card," she wrote.
Ben Fordham's daughter Pearl has decided to take her spelling practice from the page to the wall...at the front of the house.
Fordham shared this hilarious picture of his daughter, guilty as charged, on Instagram.
"I'm so proud of Pearl for working on her writing. I've politely explained she doesn't need to use the front of the house," he captioned the post.
It seems the newfound graffiti artist was pretty "silent" herself while in the act, or we're sure her dad would have put a pretty quick end to her art-making.
There is no greater joy than a child or grandchild sharing your passions.
However this grandmother could be forgiven for wishing her grandson did not share her love of playing the piano.
No doubt the boy had the best of intentions when teaching himself how to play 'Jaws' music - it's just unfortunate he decided to use a permanent marker when writing clues about which two keys to use on his grandmother's piano.
This dad was less than impressed when he arrived at his expensive Jeep Cherokee one morning only to find some surprising messages keyed on his car.
"Remember that time my 12-year-old daughter thought it would be fun to draw in the mud on daddy's Jeep?" US dad Mark Taylor captioned the photos on Instagram.
The photos received utter shock online.
"What was their brush, an air chisel?!" one person commented.
"Oh boy," another wrote.
"That just increased the selling price," another joked.
In reply, the father revealed exactly how his daughter managed to do so much damage.
"The weapon of choice was a fingernail and sandy mud," he wrote.
One Instagram mum got the shock of her life after she left her little one alone in the bathroom a touch too long...
"Her: 'I, uhh, broke the baffroom.'
"Me: 'Cutie, you couldn't possibly have... oh.'," the mum wrote in her caption.
"At least she was ok. That's all I really care about. And maybe this is the catalyst for a 'baffroom' upgrade?" she joked.
Mum of two Cait Regan from the US has revealed how her intention to spruik her son's creative side went horribly wrong.
Posting to TikTok, Cait explained that she thought she was being a "fun mum" by buying the crayons.
"I thought that I would be the fun mum and get my son these organic, non-toxic beeswax bath crayons, so they come off super easily with warm water."
But when she tried to wipe away her son's many drawings, none of them would wash off.
"This is what the bathtub looks like now," she says defeatedly.
One helpful commenter gave some advice on how the mum might be able to get rid of the marks.
"Can you use a hairdryer to melt it then wipe it clean?," they wrote.
In response, another person warned: "My family keeps bees for a living and second this! Water does not help get rid of beeswax it almost makes it worse!"
Cait is yet to give an update on what her bath looks like now, but there's sure to be some mess to clean up.
9News Presenter Davina Smith knows all too well what it's like to have your children leave their mark on things.
Unlucky for her, the latest item that her daughter Rose got her hands on was mum's work laptop. A laptop that made an appearance on national news - complete with a Bluey Sticker stuck to the front.
The mum laughed at the mishap in an Instagram post where she zoomed into the laptop to show viewers the sticker.
"Yes that is Chilli on my laptop (borrowed by @charlescroucher yesterday)," she captioned the post.
"Anyone else have a five-year-old who likes to deface everything with stickers - no surface is safe!"

Where this dad's AirPods should have been ... and where they were.
The very understanding father described finding his AirPods buried in the backyard as only "mildly infuriating" when he posted his discovery on Reddit.
He didn't reveal how the conversation with his child played out before he made the find, but we are guessing it included the words "buried treasure".
Clean or ditch? That is the question the dad faced after discovering his child buried his AirPods in the backyard.
