Daycare worker reveals list of 'things she hates' about her job

This week, early childhood educator Erin Norwood from the UK reveals the "things she hates" about working in childcare, including "late pick-ups" and "toys from home".

Opening up on TikTok in a two-part video series, Erin ?lists the things that irk her the most about her job... including items without labels and children who bring their toys from home.

"Things I hate from working in childcare," she wrote in text on the videos, before photos of the infuriating items flash up.

The list: ?

"This hoodie everyone has but no name in it"
"Designer clothes that can't get dirty"
"Tiny bags"
"Everyone has this bottle with no names on"

No spare clothes also made the list (TikTok)

In part two, she continues her list of gripes?:
"Toys from home"
"No spare clothes"
"Late pick-ups"
"Accident forms"
"Gloves that are too big for my hands"

Thousands of childcare workers agreed with Erin (TikTok)

The videos quickly attracted thousands of likes and comments, with other childcare workers chiming in with support and agreeing with Erin. ?

"100 per cent accurate," said one. "I couldn't agree more with all of them! Another I hate are socks."

"I wish parents would just put names on clothes it drives me mad," declared another. "Sand!! I hate the goddamn sand!"

"What gets me is when we close at 5:45 pm and you can see the parent sat in the car, on their phone scrolling but don't come to the door until 5:50/6 pm," said another annoyed educator.

Parents also flooded the video with their comments, thanking Erin for the insight.

"Okay but these videos are helpful my boy just started daycare," said one.

"I literally have anxiety about being late for pickup. I don't know how some parents act like it's no big deal," said another mum.
