World's largest LEGO store coming to one lucky Australian city

S?ydneysiders should get excited, because it's been revealed that the world's largest LEGO Store will open in the heart of the city in the coming months.

"This globally unique store will offer an immersive LEGO experience for local and international brick fans," revealed Richard Facioni, Executive Chairman of the retail group behind the exciting store.

LEGO fans have been told to gear up for the incredible opportunities the ?store will bring, including the chance to consult with Brick Specialists and a personalisation studio where they can create their own characters.

With the grand opening date set to be announced in the coming weeks, LEGO Australia and New Zealand Group and the Alquemie Group? have revealed the store's location.

Sitting in a prime position at Sydney Arcade, overlooking Pitt Street Mall, the 900sqm landmark new store will occupy two floors and host a range of cool exhibits.

"Supporting the LEGO Group's mission to inspire and develop builders of tomorrow, the immersive new store will feature creative play experiences, with playful nods to Australian culture, that are sure to create lasting memories for every Aussie or visitor from around the world."

Troy Taylor, Vice President and General Manager, LEGO Australia and New Zealand is beyond excited for the launch noting it will be bigger than the other iconic LEGO stores around the world including those in New York, London, and Dubai.

The landmark store will include exclusive large-format brick-built features, drawing inspiration from local architecture, with the design based on 'Stories of Australia'.

It will also host the first LEGO Minifigure? Factory in Australian where visitors can create a memento of their visit by personalising their own LEGO Minifigure using heads, hairpieces, torsos, legs, and accessories available for fans to customise.

The store will also have a 'Pick and Build Wall' where fans both kids and adults, can select the exact LEGO brick elements required to create personalised builds.

And it will host free LEGO build challenges and in-store events every month to keep fans coming back for more. ?

Much-loved judge from LEGO? Masters Australia Ryan 'The Brickman' McNaught was heavily involved with the design of the store - in charge of all large format 3D LEGO models within retail space.
