Every year, tens of thousands of parents submit their baby names onto BabyCentre. The website then collates this data to reveal the top names of the year.
Whilst some of the names on the list have remained steadfast, there are some unexpected and more old-fashioned names also on this year's list.?
Here are the top boy's and girl's names of 2022.?

C?oming in at the most popular boy's name of the year is Liam. The name is reigning supreme after its second year at the top of the list.
N?oah came in second for this year's top baby names.
O?liver secured third place as the most popular boy's name for this year.
E?lijah nabbed the fourth spot on the list.
M?ateo came in fifth place as a name that is consistently on the rise in popularity according to BabyCentre.
L?ucas snagged sixth place on the list.
T?his name with Hebrew-origins came in at number seven on the list.
A?sher came in at number eight on the list despite 10 years ago not making the list at all.
J?ames is a name that has stayed consistently popular for the last two centuries so it's no surprise it clinched the ninth spot.
L?eo is another name that just ten years ago, didn't even make the top 100, this year it secured the number ten spot.
Similarly, the top girl's name of the year was Olivia. Olivia was also reportedly the top girl's name of 2021 too.
E?mma secured the number two spot for girls.
A?melia is a name that has been quietly climbing the ranks since the 2000s, this year it secured the third top spot.
A?va scored the fourth top spot.
S?ophia was the fifth top girl's name but the top British girl's name for 2022.
I?sbabella came in at number six.
P?otentially inspired by Harry Potter fans, Luna came in at number seven.
A?nother name potentially inspired by a 00s classic, The Princess Diaries, Mia came in at number eight.
C?harlotte scored the ninth top spot.
