Tammin Sursok reveals she had 'rocks thrown at her head' in powerful anti-bullying message

Tammin Sursok has opened up about the terrible bullying she endured as a teenager as a result of her weight.
The actress and 9Honey Parenting Columnist shared a powerful post to Instagram including a series of throwback photos, in the hope of inspiring others who may be suffering at the hands of bullies.
"When I was 13, I weighed about 90 kgs," she began the montage video. "I got bullied a lot and boys were horrible to me."

"They would throw rocks at my head and kids would laugh behind my back. All I wanted was to be an actress and musician and it was the only time I felt happy.
"A guy I had a crush on told me I would never amount to anything. I told him to watch this space," she added.
The 38-year-old mum-of-two then shared images highlighting her incredibly successful career as a Hollywood actress and singer - including local and international magazine covers and a debut album - hitting back at her childhood bullies.

"I was bullied for most of my adolescence,' she also wrote in the caption alongside a series of photos of herself. "People words, bathed in hate, could have done two things. Held me down or got me to get up."
She then penned some emotional words of encouragement to anyone else who may be in the same situation.
"I promise you that you are worthy, you are enough and I want you to GET UP."
"Your dreams can come true, but it's up to you. I see you. I got you," she concluded the post with the hashtag ?#antibullying.

Fans loved the post, chiming in with support and praise for the former Pretty Little Liars star.
"Your story is so inspiring! You are such a badass!," said one.
"This post makes me cry. You have the most beautiful heart and never should have had to endure bullying," commented another.
"As someone who was bullied for being different and had autism you stand strong and proud! You showed them!!," said a third.
It's not the first time Tammin has spoken out about being bullied and her struggle with her body image and mental health.
In 2019, she revealed to fans that she suffered an eating disorder for eight years, from the age of 15 to 23, as a result of being bullied about her weight.
In November, she wrote an article for 9Honey Parenting detailing her anguish over body image now she has two daughters - and her quest to "accept her body".
"How do I tell my daughter, the love of my life, my entire world, that her body is beautiful, that it is worthy, that it is enough, if I'm not sure that I feel that way about my own?," she shared.
