Mum's very honest bassinet review will put you off having kids

By Nikolina Koevska Kharoufeh |

When purchasing a second hand item online you want the seller to be as honest as possible about the product, so you know what you're getting.

One woman has hilariously taken that honesty to a whole new level - trying to sell a baby bassinet on Facebook that she says is "a fantastic sleeping space for your baby to refuse to sleep in".

The mum posted a detailed description of the features of the bassinet that were nothing but useless in getting her baby to sleep. The hysterical post has left people disinterested in both the product, and having kids in general.

Lucy Winter from the UK put up a listing on a local Facebook sell page for the moses basket she used with her newborn boy.

The post had numerous photos of the bassinet that included a wooden stand and white ruffled bedding and seemed like a legitimate listing, though the description wasn't too impressive.

She began the post with: "Here we have a fantastic sleeping space for your baby to refuse to sleep in."

Like any good listing, Winter took the time to list all the handy features that come with the product.

"With its convenient handles, once you have rocked the s**t out of your gorgeous little bundle of joy and finally lay them to rest on the comfy mattress (also included). You can carry the bassinet around the house wherever you go because they will probably wake up in around 3 minutes anyway.

Moses Basket sold on Facebook.
The mum didn't hold back when explaining just how little she used the item. (Facebook)

"The basket has a little canopy, which you can put up to keep absolutely no sun out as it's white and has small decorative holes in, but it does look lovely for when you have visitors and want to distract them from your puke stained clothes and the fact you haven't washed your hair since you were pregnant!"

"This lovely Moses basket is almost brand new as you can see from its pristine condition, as my gorgeous angel was clearly too huge for a Moses basket from birth and instead needed a king size bed to himself."

In the lengthy and hilarious post, the mum made sure she confirmed the item was coming from a smoke-free and pet-free home, because sadly "the dog left, he had enough!".

She finished it off by encouraging users not to miss the chance to grab a bargain - listing the item for around $36. Since the listing was put up, it has been viewed hundreds of times by fellow parents who completely relate to the brutal honestly from the new mum.

Readers took to the post to flood it with laughing emoji's. "This is the best selling advert, ever", one person commented.

If your interested, the bassinet is still up for grabs!
