Mum's hilarious microphone hack to prevent yelling at kids in public

By Madhurima Haque|

All parents know the struggle of rounding up the kids into the car mid-play session, but one mum has it all figured out. US mum Vanessa Falone has shared her unconventional method to get her kids in the car after a trip to the park with no yelling involved.

In a TikTok video, she revealed that she calls for her children through a microphone as other parents laugh and start clapping. "Working on yelling for my kids in public," she wrote in the clip. "I don't want to sound like those crazy mums that don't have their life together."

"Jennifer and Kayla, it is time to leave the park. Please gather your belongings and head towards the car immediately," the mum commanded on the microphone.

"I learned from the voice on the Matterhorn at Disneyland. 'Remain seated please'," the mum joked in the comments.

Other parents thought the hack was genius.

"And I'd be there like 'See guys the lady with the microphone said it's time to leave'," said one parent.

"I'd be the parent asking if I could borrow that," said another.

Others shared their own methods of rounding their kids up.

"My mum trained us to react to a whistle like a dog," said one commenter

"Today at the park, I ran screaming 'The floor is LAVAAA!! GET TO THE CAAAR'. It worked like a charm," said another.

"I would use my flight attendant voice for this. 'Attention children the car will be leaving in approximately 5min please make your way to the boarding area'" suggested another.

"This would be more embarrassing than my mum yelling at me. I would definitely get in the car as soon as she pulled it out," one commenter affirmed.

"Honestly this sounds like a more relaxed version of heading home for the kids too, they hear the announcement and know what time it is + you're calm," said another.
