By Madhurima Haque|

All parents want to help protect their children from being hurt, but one mum was unsuccessful despite her best efforts.

Mum Mary posted a video on TikTok sharing what she did when her daughter got uninvited from a sleepover, with the video gaining seven million views in just five days.

"My daughter got uninvited to a slumber party so I took her out for pizza to cheer her up," shared the mum.

"Then the entire birthday party walked into the empty pizza restaurant while we were chilling eating pizza in our sweats.

"Are we in an after-school Disney special?" the mum joked.

Many commenters were able to relate, even sharing their own experiences.

"From the girl who desperately wanted to be included. Those girls are the ones who invited me to their MLMs and my momma is still my best friend," said one.

"I was invited to those girls' sleepovers as a kid and always got treated badly. It hurts but the sooner you let them go the better," recounted another.

Others questioned how parents can allow their kids to exclude others in the first place.

"What parent lets their kid uninvite somebody?" asked one commenter. "(The) times I was uninvited, the girls did it then told the mums I cancelled. Sometimes they didn't know," another explained in response.

Other commenters shared messages of hope for the little girl.

"I guarantee she'll remember this night forever. Reassure her of her worth, so she can look back on it and realise it was their loss."
