Mum discovers she's pregnant with twins, just four months after birthing her first set

When Erica Perez gave birth to her twin girls Arya and Hazel in 2021, she and her husband agreed they were happy and 'satisfied' as a family of five.

She never thought that just four months later she would be sitting in a ?doctor's clinic crying excessively after being told she had fallen pregnant again จC with her second set of twins.

It was news she had to 'let sink in' as she remained 'freaked out for the first few months'.

The mum of five girls now documents her life at home on TikTok, sharing all the chaos and demands that comes with raising two sets of twins and a five-year-old.

Perez and her husband Allan live in California with their five-year-old daughter Summer, one-year-old twin girls Arya and Hazel and six-month-old twin girls Celeste and Alana.

The mum says that when she gave birth to Arya and Hazel she was happy ?and ready to raise her family of five, "Satisfied with my three girls. Want no more kids."

So when she received the news that she was not only pregnant again, but pregnant with twins so soon after she said: 'I'm not gonna lie, I'm scared.'

Her first set of twins were just four months old when fell pregnant again?, and were 11 months old when the twins arrived.

The mum struggled to accept the news but eventually started to come around. "I was freaking out and depressed for like a month, but I'm getting better now," she told followed when she was three months pregnant.

Celeste and Alana were born early at 29 weeks and were in the NICU for quite some time before they were able to come home.

Prior to being born, the parents were told that one twin only had a 50 per cent chance of surviving the pregnancy after doctors noticed the twins were not sharing blood and oxygen equally within the placenta.

Perez had to undergo surgery to attempt to fix the issue and both twins luckily survived. This was just another challenge the mum had to ensure during her wild motherhood journey.

"Alana's doctors told me that most babies don't survive the surgeries she has been through. They are amazed by how strong she is fighting for her life," she wrote on a video diary.

Following the birth of her second set of twins, the mum began regularly sharing daily diaries of her life at home with the babies and her eldest daughter.

?The videos outline the mum's rigorous sleep and bedtime routines, meal times and endless cleaning and laundry duties.

Her videos have reached over six million people on TikTok and she has over 165,000 followers. ?

Thousands of people flock to her diaries to commend the mum on her incredible efforts and send support her way.

"You are a super mama! I can't with one and look at you WOW?!" one person commented.

Another mum wrote, ?"You're doing amazing! I have a one and three-year-old and am going nuts. I applaud you mama!"

In one video the mum ?of five revealed that her eldest daughter Summer is now asking her for a baby brother, even though she has four little sisters. A request the mum said she found 'crazy'.

The mum joked that even if she considered the request she'd probably have another girl again, "With my luck!"
