Midwife Edwina gives the lowdown on birth plans and why she isn't a fan

One of the first things women start thinking about once they find out they are pregnant is their birth. What type of birth they would like to have, drugs or no drugs, what classes they can attend ahead of the birth... there is endless information out there to make decisions about the big moment.

Though Midwife of 15 years and 9Honey Parenting Expert Midwife Edwina says there is one thing we shouldn't be overthinking and that's our birth plan - "I don't like them!"

Edwina has helped thousands of women through the birth process and says women feel a "sense of failure" if their birth plan doesn't eventuate - which is something that happens often. So her advice is not to have one.
