Jock Zonfrillo's widow Lauren Fried shares heartbreaking family photos

T?he widow of chef Jock Zonfrillo has shared family photos just days after breaking her silence over her husband's sudden death.

Lauren Frie?d took to her late husband's official Instagram profile this morning to post a series of photos with the couple's two children.

The candid photos of the children, taken on a beach? walk and during cuddles with Fried, are the first publicly shared photos without the beloved husband and father.

"Time together. Being close, letting them wander," Fried captioned the photos.?

The photos have been flooded with thousands of likes and scores of comments.

"Heartbreaking seeing you and them without him. No doubt your little Jocks help to keep him close to you?," one person wrote.

"What beautiful gifts Jock left you. We are all just heartbroken for your family. I hope you are surrounded by kindness and gentleness, because that's all you can bear when your heart is shattered," a second person wrote.

"Thanks for sharing these beautiful photos. You are all in our thoughts and prayers," yet another wrote.

The Master Chef co-host died in Melbourne on April 30 this year, and was laid to rest at a private Sydney funeral on May 13. He was 46.

Despite widespread media coverage, including a flood of tributes to ?Zonfrillo, Fried shied away from the spotlight.

The 46-year-old broke her silence on Sunday, marking the one month mark of her loss.

"It's been a month since we lost Jock, and I put a line in the sand thinking that at the one month mark, I would turn some sort of a corner," she said in a video shared to Zonfrillo's Instagram page.

"Obviously that hasn't happened?."

In the video, shared to ?Zonfrillo's 400,000 followers, Fried thanked fans "all over the world" for their "overwhelming" outpouring of support.

"I really wish that he knew how loved he was, that he knew the impact he had on so many people," she said.?

She also questioned whether it would be appropriate to publicly share the projects her husband had been working on prior to his death.?

"He had behind-the-scenes photos and interviews from MasterChef, books, a fashion range, he's got spirits ageing in a distillery in Tasmania?," a visibly emotional Fried, said.

"He's got a TV show he filmed in Italy last year with the family."

She then said she would post polls on his social media accounts so his fans could decide.

Fried and ??Zonfrillo met in 2014. Four years later they were married.

In 2021, ?Zonfrillo posted a series of photos of his children with learnings from his life.

"Papa and husband are my two favourite jobs," he wrote.

"I've learnt through many mistakes that they are all that matter, everything else is a distraction."

In a Valentine's Day Instagram post in 2022 he described his luck at finding his wife, Lauren Fried. The couple met in 2014 and married in 2017.

"Seriously though how lucky am I? I know only too well I'm batting well above my class but hey, everyone deserves a lucky break right?! I'm just thankful you said yes," he wrote.

"You are a sensationally beautiful woman (Lauren) and I'm so grateful that you chose to walk beside me."
