Aunt sparks outrage after taking toddler for 'mullet' haircut, without permission

Taking your toddler for a haircut is considered a rite of passage for many parents.
One woman has sparked fury online after she took her nephew for a bold new cut จC without telling his mum.
The aunt, who shared a video of the process to her TikTok account stickybpnez, described it as a 'little prank', but most people failed to see the humour.
"My sister left me in charge of her child so I thought it would be funny to take him to a hairdresser and pull a little prank," she says in the clip, captioned 'Baby mullet'.

"I'm not going to tell you guys what it's going to be, but it's going to be so funny."
She then holds her adorable toddler up, for a 'fit check', before they head to the hairdresser. "Here is the before," she declares. "Are you ready?"
The little boy sits happily in the barber's seat, while ?the sides of his head get shaved and transformed กช into a 'baby mullet'.
"Do you love it?" she asks her nephew. "Yeah!" the little boy exclaims.
"Stay tuned to see her reaction," the aunt says, before the clip ends.

TikTokers immediately took to the comments with a ?barrage of critcism - attacking the aunt for taking the boy for a haircut without her sister's permission.
"I love a baby mullet but, as a mother, I would be absolutely livid if someone other than his father or I took my son for a haircut with our permission," said one. "This is a big no no. Jaw dropped."
"This is not a prank. You should have just said I'm cutting his hair without his mum's permission today. A prank is putting on a bald cap I would have cried", said another.
"One time my grandparents cut my sister's hair without asking my dad and my dad didn't talk to them for years," shared a fourth.

Others thought there was nothing wrong with the sister's act จC and described it as 'hilarious' and 'cute'.
"Jesus everyone needs to chill. It's hair จC hair grows back! I'd die laughing if my sister did this to my son!?"
"I would never in a million years be mad at my sis for this!" said another.
In the next clip, the aunt revealed her sister's reaction to seeing the haircut for the first time จC and sure enough, the mum didn't seem to mind at all. ?
"It's cute! She knows it," said one. "Your sister's so chill, that's awesome."
"Obviously, they have a good relationship and she knew her sis wouldn't be pจCจCจCed or she would not have done that," said another one of the aunt's supporters.
"Thank you! Yes she is my best friend and I would never have done it if I knew she would be upset!" the aunt responded.
