'We're all paying rent here. Act like it!!' Roommate fight explodes onto Reddit

A? roommate fight over toilet use has exploded onto Reddit.
A woman who lives with male roommates is clearly fed up with what she describes as their "disgusting behaviour." Exasperated, she decided to pen a note about her complaint and place it on the toilet door. And one right near the toilet. And another above the toilet.
"I've just put these notes up for my disgusting male flatmates. I'm at uni not nursery. I don't think they got the memo," she shared on Reddit's 'Casual UK' thread
The note reads: "Close & lock the door when in use!! (This is not pre-school).

?"No one wants to see you as you go to the toilet!!" the note continued.
"It makes other residents uncomfortable, and is cutting a fine line between exposure & public exhibitionism.
"We all have to live together in peace and comfort. We're all paying rent here. Act like it!!"
She adds on the Reddit post: "This has been a month coming now. The day I moved in there was ? all over the toilet bowl and up the toilet seat and lid. I've communicated the needs other residents have, and the danger of fecal matter being left out. I've reported it to the campus officials too. Today I came home to find ? on the wall. I'm going crazy here.?"
Another note placed inside the bathroom reads: "No one wants to see your skid marks!! Use the toilet brush to clean the toilet bowl!!
"Buy your own bleach & disinfect the brush and bowl with it too. I NEVER want to see poo on the wall again."?
And yet another note placed above the toilet reads: "FLUSH TOILET!! (We're mature, rent paying individuals).?
"Check toilet seat before you leave too. Fecal matter left behind is a HEALTH RISK!! (and also unbelievably disgusting!!) We're adults remember!!"?
Redditers were quick to share their support for the woman's post.
?"You should have taken photos of their s--t and sent it to their mums," one suggested.
Although one Redditer warned: "Someone's gonna put poo in your shoes for this."

"The rest of the house is definitely slagging you off behind your back," another added.
"No one like a note-writer," another said.
One suggested: "These notes won't work. You need to speak to them directly, repeatedly if need be but you need to speak to them. If they don't clean up then you need to move."
"As a former male student who used to co-ed, I can safely inform you that these will either be ignored or doodled on within a week," another said.
Others shared similar roommate complaints: "Let me know how it goes. Been trying since September to get one of our flatmates to stop. There are so many notes in the toilet at this point.
"Every time we see him, which is not that often, we all confront him and try to convince him that the toilet brush won't bite. Don't think we have ever talked about anything else.?"
"To anyone complaining about passive-aggressive notes... I'd like to see you being calm and reasonable after wiping someone else's s--t off of a wall. I'd even say that the notes were not aggressive enough, let alone complain," another explained.?
