By April Glover|

Miranda Kerr is living proof that sometimes your second chance at love is the one that sticks.

The Australian-born supermodel, beauty mogul and Victoria's Secret Angel, 40, just welcomed her third child จC and fourth overall จC with billionaire Snapchat founder Evan Spiegel.

Kerr's romance with Spiegel spans eight years, but it took one failed marriage and a long friendship before their love story truly began.

Before meeting Spiegel at a Louis Vuitton dinner 10 years ago, Kerr was married to Pirates of the Caribbean actor Orlando Bloom.

Kerr and Bloom met in 2008, became engaged in 2010 and tied the knot soon after. They also welcomed a son, Flynn, during their three-year marriage.

They were one of Hollywood's most famous power couples at the time. So it came as quite a shock when the pair announced their split in October 2013.

Relations have always remained amicable between Kerr and Bloom since their divorce and, now, their blended family.

The couple have continued co-parenting their son Flynn and are both happy in their respective relationships จC Kerr with Spiegel and Bloom with singer Katy Perry.

Kerr couldn't have predicted when she met Spiegel in 2014 that she would end up re-married to him in the space of just a few short years.

Speigel and Kerr opened up about crossing paths for the first time in an interview with Vogue Australia in 2022.

The pair were both attending a lavish dinner held at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City and, as fate would have it, were seated right next to each other.

"I had a nice time at dinner with a lovely woman but thought I had absolutely no chance," Spiegel explained.?

"I gave her my number because she was moving into a new house. I'm like, 'If you need help with the tech stuff, text me.' I was not expecting to hear."

Kerr was fresh off her divorce from Bloom when she did eventually text Spiegel, just one month later.

It was a risk, she thought, as Speigel hadn't reached out and she thought he wasn't interested.

The message read: "Just wondering จC did you ever listen to that song Spiegel im Spiegel?"? Kerr was referring to one of her favourite tunes by composer Arvo P?rt, which also happened to be her future husband's namesake.

The model admits she was in a headspace where she "didn't really believe in love anymore". Thankfully, Spiegel helped change her mind.

"He was so patient with me. Our relationship evolved slowly. And we established a nice friendship before we became boyfriend and girlfriend," Kerr told Vogue.?

"I never even thought that this kind of love was possible."

The couple have now three children.

It was first just a platonic thing, with Kerr explaining to the Sydney Morning Herald in 2016: "We were really good friends for a long time before we started dating."

That friendship evolved into a more romantic relationship when Spiegel kissed Kerr spontaneously at Christmastime.

Kerr told WSJ Magazine the kiss was "very slow, a respectful kiss goodbye".

Their love was a slow-burn. But just two years later, the tech billionaire proposed to Kerr.

The couple tied the knot in 2017 in an intimate backyard ceremony at Spiegel's home in Los Angeles, with just 30 people in attendance.

In an interview with The Times that year, Kerr hinted she and Spiegel had been saving themselves for marriage.

When asked if she was going to give son Flynn a sibling, she replied: "Not yet. Not until after we get married. My partner is very traditional."

"We can't ... I mean we're just ... waiting," Kerr added.

Kerr fell pregnant with the couple's first child in 2018, naming him Hart. Their second son, Myles, was born in 2019 and their third, Pierre, was born in February 2024.

?"We are overjoyed by the arrival of our little ray of sunshine, Pierre Kerr Spiegel. We couldn't be more excited to welcome our fourth son into our family. Feeling so very blessed ????," Kerr shared on Instagram.

Aside from being a father of three, Spiegel is worth a staggering $2.8 billion (approx. $4.2 billion) thanks to his role in founding Snapchat. The company went public in 2017, which helped boost his net worth by millions.
