Julia Louis-Dreyfus has a message for cancer after treatment ends

Actress shares stunning photo alongside message

Veep star Julia Louis-Dreyfus has taken to Instagram to celebrate the end of her treatment for breast cancer.

The 57-year-old actress told fans she is "ready to rock" and "feeling happy" post treatment.

"Hoorah! Great doctors, great results, feeling happy and ready to rock after surgery," she said.

Defiantly, the Hollywood star added: "Hey cancer, 'F*** you!'"

Alongside the impassioned message was a stunning shot of the former Seinfeld actress, which she told fans was from her first photo post-op.

Julia took to Instagram to announce her diagnosis in late September last year, just weeks after taking home her record sixth Primetime Emmy Award for her role as Selina Meyer in the comedy Veep.

She wrote a message to fans, saying: "1 in 8 women get breast cancer. Today, I'm the one.



"The good news is that I have the most glorious group of supportive and caring family and friends, and fantastic insurance through my union.?

"The bad news is that not all women are so lucky, so let's fight all cancers and make universal health care a reality."

The actress continued to share some snippets during her treatment via social media, including her last day of chemotherapy.

Julia recently made history with two wins at the Screen Actors Guild Awards, which were accepted by other actresses on her behalf.?



The awards, her eight and ninth wins, made her the most decorated actor in the history of the SAG Awards.

Production of Veep is now on hold till its star returns to work, with an expected on-air date of 2019.
